    Ann Hampton Callaway, Platinum Award-winning vocalist and songwriter, will join Maestro Lawrence Loh and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic for two special collaborative performances “Ann Hampton Callaway Sings the Streisand Songbook” Friday, April 12 at 8 p.m. at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, Wilkes-Barre, and Saturday, April 13 at 8 p.m. at the Scranton Cultural Center. Presented by PNC Bank.

  • Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s Shanshan Yao to Perform During Mendelssohn and Mozart Festival

    Shanshan Yao, a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the 2012-13 Emerging Artist with the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, will perform during an exciting tribute concert celebrating child prodigies Felix Mendelsohn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The concert will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the Scranton Cultural Center.

  • Grammy Award-Winning Vocalist Steve Tyrell to Perform with the NEPA Philharmonic

    Steve Tyrell, Grammy Award-winning vocalist, will join Maestro Lawrence Loh and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic for a special Valentine’s Day performance titled “I’ll Take Romance” to be held on Friday, February 8 at 8:00 p.m. in the Scranton Cultural Center, and Saturday, February 9 at 8:00 p.m. in the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, Wilkes-Barre. Presented by PNC Bank, tickets are $60 - $29 for adults and $15 for students, and are available by calling 570-270-4444.

  • Local String Students to Play at NEPA Philharmonic Holiday POPS Concert

    The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic’s Holiday Pops Concert: Appalachian Christmas featuring Mark O’Connor will truly capture the childlike magic of the holiday season with the addition of string students from Valenches Music Company and the Suzuki School for Strings. Young violinists, violists, and cellists will join the musicians of the NEPA Philharmonic for a portion of the concert, providing the students and the audience with a unique opportunity to see how young musicians can grow and be inspired to reach new heights by performing with a professional orchestra.

  • A Night in Vienna Open Rehearsal

    The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic will hold its first Open Rehearsal of the 41st Season on Friday, November 16, 2012. The evening begins at 6:00pm and features a question and answer session with Music Director, Lawrence Loh, Orchestra Personnel Manager and Librarian, Martin Webster, and special guest, soprano soloist, Katy Williams. The Open Rehearsal then begins at 7:00pm. The rehearsal occurs on the evening before the second concert in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic’s Masterworks Series—A Night in Vienna.

    The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic will present their annual Independence Concerts on Thursday, July 3rd at PNC Field in Lackawanna County and again on Friday, July 4th in Luzerne County at Kirby Park.
