FAR OUT MAN!

It's time to get your groove on and join the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic as you and your friends boogie on down to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.  Live it up for one groovy night that promises to take you on a trip back into the sights and sounds of the 70's as we celebrate LOVIN THE MUSIC!  This will certainly not be a "typical" gala!

The night will begin with a cocktail hour in our exclusive 70's lounge.  Imagine yourself sipping a cocktail while engaging in lively conversation as you relax in a cozy conversation pit decorated in appropriate décor from the era.

There will be plenty of room to circulate throughout the lounge and enjoy sumptuous passed hors d'oeuvres and great live music. 

Back by popular demand is another interactive "parlor" game sure to bring out the competitor in you.  Get your arms and aim ready as you participate in the 45 RPM record toss, featuring some famous faces from the 70's! 

Following cocktails, we will head into the ballroom for dinner.  Your senses will explode as you gaze upon creative table settings.  Color will surround you and take you back to a funkier time…. When platform shoes, three-piece suits, sideburns, hot pants and tie-dye was the rage.  Floral Designs of Forty Fort will create centerpieces to add to the atmosphere of the evening - outdone only by the food and wine presented with a 70's twist by the chef and staff at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

After dinner, be ready to kick things up a notch!!!

Dessert, more "parlor games" and the opportunity to "get down" and groove to the sounds of The Dance Hall Docs, a talented mix of musicians who perform in a style reminiscent of the horn bands of the 70's, 80's and 90's. 

You might find it interesting to know two members of the band are active supporters and performers of the Philharmonic!  Check out their website at www.dancehalldocs.com.

Sounds pretty exciting, doesn't it?  There are only 240 seats available.  Ticket pricing will include single tickets for $120, $1100 for a table of ten (with no advertising advantages), and $1500 for a sponsored table of ten (which will include advertising in our program and at the event).
